The word control is a very unpopular word in the body of Christ. In fact, most believers view control in a very negative light, but few believers actually know what it means to be controlled. To control simply means to exercise authority over and to direct. God places men and women over us to lead and direct us according to His will, but many believers resist the instruction of divine authority because they don’t understand what Godly control is. The Father does not put leaders over us to rule over us harshly like taskmasters, but rather to lead us to the fullness of His will for our lives. It’s important that we submit to the direction of divine authority so they can thrust us forward into the manifestation of God’s purpose for our lives.
